Mezzanines
Liz Claiborne
To make full use of their 90,000 square-foot warehouse, Liz Claiborne turned to Beaver. The result is a modern, efficient facility with high bay catwalk storage systems for three-level processing of merchandise.
To keep costs down while meeting strict building code regulations, Beaver created multi-level floor-to-ceiling bays. These allow for six levels for fast order picking of both flat and hanging garments. Access is easy, whether from main floor or from two fully integrated catwalk mezzanines.
Because the system takes full advantage of the height of the building, it uses less floor space and leaves room for growth.
Sears
At the Sears Catalog Marchandise Distribution Centre in Belleville, Beaver installed a four-level catwalk system to make full use of 39' ceilings.
The levels are all interconnected by PLC-controlled conveyor systems, with destination-programmable trolleys sent to any of 12 picking zones by a coordinating computer system.
Beaver solved an age-old problem by incorporating fire-exit markings directly into the floor tile.
