BEAVER: Solutions Through Systems Engineering
Apparel logistics
The Shopping Channel

The Shopping Channel's new warehouse facility incorporates Beaver's multi-level catwalk-aisle storage and retrieval system. This unique design allows TSC to reduce the overall footprint while making greater use of the full cube space.

Adjustable garment rail brackets provide a flexible system, which can be easily adapted to seasonal and stylistic changes in the fashion industry.

A destination-programmable trolley conveyor system routes trolleys with a minimum of operator input or movement. This reduced picking handling time by 50%.

Overall, the Beaver conveyors integrated so completely with other systems in the warehouse that overall packing efficiency was increased by a full 33%.

Sears

At the Sears Catalog Marchandise Distribution Centre in Belleville, Beaver installed a four-level catwalk system to make full use of 39' ceilings.

The levels are all interconnected by PLC-controlled conveyor systems, with destination-programmable trolleys sent to any of 12 picking zones by a coordinating computer system.

Beaver solved an age-old problem by incorporating fire-exit markings directly into the floor tile.

Liz Claiborne

To make full use of their 90,000 square-foot warehouse, Liz Claiborne turned to Beaver. The result is a modern, efficient facility with high bay catwalk storage systems for three-level processing of merchandise.

To keep costs down while meeting strict building code regulations, Beaver created multi-level floor-to-ceiling bays. These allow for six levels for fast order picking of both flat and hanging garments. Access is easy, whether from main floor or from two fully integrated catwalk mezzanines.

Because the system takes full advantage of the height of the building, it uses less floor space and leaves room for growth.

Ash City

At Ash City's new warehouse, Beaver installed sloped mesh decks. These make picking easier and more ergonomic, and also, because they tilt the SKU toward the picker, allow for quick and simple inventory replenishment.

The multi-level catwalk mezzanine system provides outstanding inventory flexibility in a greatly reduced footprint. Order picking follows a seamless path from zone to zone, ending in the Checking/Packing/Shipping conveyor system.

The net impact of Beaver's engineering and design? Throughput was increased 45%, and a costly and disruptive relocation was delayed by at least 2-3 years. That's the Beaver difference.
